هذه قصيدة لامية من بحر الطويل في القراءات السبع المتواترة، عدد أبياتها: 1173 بيتا، وقد تلقاها العلماء في سائر الأعصار والأمصار بالقبول، وعنوا بها أعظم عناية، وتوافروا على شرح ألفاظها، وحل رموزها، وكشف أسرارها، واستخراج دررها وجواهرها. ووقَلَّ من يشتغل بالقراءات إلا ويُقَدِّم حفظها ومعرفتها، حيث إن طريقة الرموز التي استخدمها الناظم تسهل على الطالب معرفة أوجه القراءات المختلفة في الكلمة الواحدة، وذلك باستدعاء الرمز مع استحضار المرموز له، حيث رتب الناظم القراء السبع بالتوالي على الأبجدية المعروفة (أبج دهز حطي كلم نصع فضق رست)، وغير ذلك من الرموز التي قد تجمع أكثر من قارئ إذا اشتركوا في قراءة واحدة للكلمة، مثل رمز (عم) للقارئان نافع وابن عامر.

Summary

This book is a poem of 1173 verses, that illustrates Qurʾān recitations. It documents the rules of seven Qurʾān recitations out of the ten authentically adopted Qurʾān recitations. It was worldly perceived with well acceptance and massive concern. Muslim scholars were keen on explaining its content and symbols. Reciters have mostly regarded it as the base of learning Qurʾān recitations, therefore, a student should begin by memorizing and understanding it. The symbolic reference to the seven Qurʾān reciters make it easier for a student to memorize each style among the seven, and recall when needed.
